TFTP-QCIN: Quality Control (QC) Inspector -- Levels I, II, and III

Team member's role and responsibilities:
Level I - Table Inspection
Level II - In Process Inspection
- Table inspection
- Report immediately all imperfections and deviations from spec to QC Specialist and to Forge Shop Supervisor so they can take necessary steps to bring parts into specs
- Learn and follow safety rules
- Become familiar with TOPs, especially the procedures that relate PREQC, PROQC, POSQC, NOCON, and FTEMP
Level III - Final Inspection
- In-process inspection
- Inspect parts and do SPC tasks that will help determine if parts are out of spec
- Inspect and chart dimensions of parts which are coming off production process with at pre-set intervals
- Report immediately all imperfections and deviations from spec to QC Specialist and to Forge Shop Supervisor so they can take necessary steps to bring parts into specs
- Learn and follow safety rules
- Become familiar with TOPs, especially the procedures that relate PREQC, PROQC, POSQC, NOCON, FTEMP.
Rookie requirements:
Level I - Table Inspection
Level II - In Process Inspection
- Basic understanding of forging flaws that can be detected by visual inspection
- Forklift training
- Complete training modules COLD, RDNC, QCNH, TRAC, FSAT, and PRTC within 120 days of employment
- Complete visual acuity testing
- Must complete training on Match, Concentricity, and Symmetry within 60 days of employment
Level III - Final Inspection
- Basic understanding of fractions and decimals and be able to read and understand blueprints
- Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring devices, and a basic understanding of forging flaws that can be detected by visual inspection
- Complete AQL training
- Forklift training
- Complete training modules COLD, HOTI, MATH, MEAS, TEMP, PRNT, RDNC, QCNH, PRCP, PRTC, FAIN, SBCT, STAT, TRAC, and FSAT within 120 days of employment
- Complete visual acuity testing
- Complete training on how and when to use radius gauges
- Complete training on Match, Concentricity, and Symmetry within 60 days of employment
- Sufficient experience in the production shop to enable identification of a bad forging
- Keen sense of observation and an eye for detail
- Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring devices, and a basic understanding of forging flaws that can be detected by visual inspection
- Complete training modules COLD, HOTI, MATH, MEAS, TEMP, PRNT, RDNC, FAIN, PRTC, SBCT, STAT, TRAC and FSAT within 120 days of employment
- Must complete training on Match, Concentricity, and Symmetry within 60 days of employment
- Forklift Training
- AQL Training
