Objective: To instruct designated employees on proper measuring techniques and proper use of measuring devices (calipers, etc.). Training will also encompass proper care of measuring equipment, filling out Measuring Instrument Verification Log, and monitoring of calibration stickers.

Identification and proper use of measuring instruments. |

Interpretation and calculation of readings from measuring devices. |

Intensive exercises whereby employee measures and records findings. |
|
Verify calibration stickers for due dates and fill out Measuring Instrument Verification Log. |
|
Must pass a written test using sample parts. |
Completion: Sign off by teacher that employee has been instructed and has a good understanding of good measurement. Written test results added to employee training files.
