Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- To provide precise information on dimensions, tolerances, and characteristics of parts to various departments.
- To
provide measurement or comparison of patterns, casts, models, etc.
through the use of a coordinate measuring machine, scan arm and other
devices.
- To provide measurement of equipment and components as needed (including installed production equipment).
- To develop and operate personal computer programs to aid with other responsibilities.
- To become familiar with TOPs Manual, especially those procedures that relate to this team position.
Rookie requirements:
- High school education with introductory college-level mathematics.
- A
good grasp of 3-D geometry and trigonometry, including the ability to
visualize objects from a three-dimensional perspective, possibly some
college level courses on the subject; computer literacy.
- Complete the following training requirements: MEAS, CHRT, PRNT, GDTT, AND FSAT.
Physical activity
involved:
- Extensive prolonged periods of sitting and standing at CMM and PC
- Some walking, climbing and exposure to heat
- Moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
