TFTP-PWLD: Production Welder

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Use company tools and resources along with
personal abilities to minimize down time of equipment in producing
parts to customer's welding specifications and requirements
- Exercise
and develop good safety habits to avoid injury given the hazardous
situations involved in maintenance work and production welding
- Respond promptly to the various request for welding equipment, fabricating, die welding, and other equipment repairs
- Work closely with Machining Superintendent or Leadman to receive instructions on the priority of jobs pending
- Help maintain an orderly and clean welding area
- Record heat codes, welding material and customer specifications on Process Log
Rookie requirements:
- At least three years of welding experience in an
industrial environment with some experience in TIG, MIG, Stickweld, and
Carbon Arc
- Complete training module WELD, TRAC, WLD1, WLD2, GRND, and MATE
Physical activity
involved:
- Extensive walking, standing, some lifting of equipment parts; some bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling
- Ability to withstand heat in summer and cold in winter
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
