TFTP-PFBO: Post Forge Blast Operator

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Work long hours as
requested by Post Forge Supervisor or Leadman.
- Ability to clean parts as
needed and identify by material.
- Perform minor maintenance
and preventative maintenance.
- Determine length of time
parts needed in blaster.
- Ability to detect defects
in steel forgings such as cold shuts, burrs, code numbers, letters,
etc.
- Read container tags and
Travelers with ability to log and identify parts so customer gets
correct material.
Rookie requirements:
- Ability to read basic
blueprints.
- Complete module
BLST, TAGS, COLD, PRTC,
PRNT, and forklift training within 90 days.
- Propane tank exchange
training.
Physical activity
involved:
- Extensive climbing of
stairs on blasters.
- Prolong periods of walking,
bending of the waist/knees, reaching with arms/hands.
- Be able to lift up to 50
pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for
help.
- Constant use of
sight/hearing/speech abilities.
- Mental alertness and
concentration with awareness to machine operations.
- Conditions include: heat,
dust, noise, outside elements and humidity.
