TFTM-BLST: Shot Blaster

Taught by: Post Forge Supervisor, Maintenance Person assigned to repair blaster, Senior Blaster Operator

Objective: To learn basic operating procedures and minor maintenance of blaster equipment.

Syllabus:  Session covering mechanical maintenance of blasters, indicating which repairs can be done by operator and which is needed to be reported to maintenance department.
bullet Session addressing the nuts and bolts of blaster operation.
bullet How much time is needed to blast different types of steel.
bullet How much steel shot to use and what type.
bullet Importance of keeping DSN and codes separate.

Completion: Sign off by teacher that employee has a good understanding of blaster operation and how to handle repairs. 

Notes: Blaster operator must also now know how to prioritize jobs.
