Trinity Operating Procedures - TOPs

TOP-ENVIR: Environmental System Management

Rev: 12/06/2017

Scope: This procedure covers the annual and ongoing aspects of the Trinity Forge environmental management system (EMS). To access the EMS Manual, click here.

Procedure:

The Environmental Coordinator is focal point of the company EMS, maintaining a complete file of environmental records, reviewing company progress toward environmental objectives, training employees in environmental matters (see TOP-TRAIN) and soliciting employee suggestions for improvement.

The Environmental Coordinator submits indicated changes to the EMS Manual to Trinity Operating Procedures (TOPs) via TOP-DOCUM

The Environmental Coordinator submits an executive summary of the EMS Annual Report for upper management review via TOP-MREVU.

The Environmental Coordinator retains a copy of all internal environmental documents (e.g., EMS Annual Report) and external communications related to environment (i.e., government reports or possibly public announcements) in the Environmental File.

STORM WATER PREVENTION PLAN:

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) administers the Texas Storm Water Multi-Sector General Permit for Industrial Activities. Storm water discharges from Trinity Forge's plant are covered under this permit, a principle requirement of which is the implementation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). We thus have a written SWPPP that has been approved as an extension to Trinity Operating Procedures (TOPs) and is subject to the same audit and compliance as TOPs.
