TFTM-PNHT: Production Forge New Hire Training

Objective:

bullet Understand how to properly use equipment safely and efficiently
bullet Learn to use tools to trim parts safely and efficiently without damaging them
bullet Learn how to operate forklifts and other equipment safely
bullet Learn how to correctly set hot parts on trimmer
bullet Learn how to adjust the ram on the press
bullet Learn how to detect defects in hot forgings
bullet Learn procedures in correcting documents
bullet Learn how to read a router
bullet Learn to clock in and out correctly
bullet Learn all other On the Job and safety training required or applicable to his/her job

Syllabus:
bullet Watch Forklift and other safety videos in orientation. Must pass forklift written and forklift exams.
bullet Work with an experienced forging production employee until the Production Supervisor and trainer are satisfied new hire can perform all tasks in a fast and safe manner.

Completion: Sign off by Production Supervisor and experienced production employee experienced in Forging Production that the new hire has been instructed and understands his/her job function requirements. Must pass forklift written and driver exams.

Notes: Supervisor and leadman are responsible for the safety and proper training of all employees in his/her department.
