TFTP-PSVS: Production Supervisor (Foreman)

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Supervise production personnel in terms of
assigning jobs according to Shop Schedule and to follow through
in seeing that steel yard, die prep department, and maintenance
department are working closely together to minimize production
disruptions.
- Maintain the
highest production rates possible for each job, and continually look
for and develop new methods to increase production rates.
- Train and develop employees as well as strive to improve quality and productivity.
- See work gets done in a safe and timely fashion without jeopardizing the quality of each part.
- Become familiar with TOPs Manual, especially those procedures relating to the Production Department.
Rookie requirements:
- Familiarity with computers.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as hammerman, production Leadman, or equivalent experience.
Physical activity
involved:
- Heavy walking with some stooping, lifting pieces
of steel with pair of tongs up to eye level for inspection; any lifting
over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
- Occasional maneuvering of hot steel as per hammerman to test procedure or instruct another employee on a particular technique.
