TFTP-PFSU: Post Forge Supervisor

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Supervise post-production processing and
preparation of produced parts for shipment; to work closely with sales
department to make sure all customer requirements are being
followed.
- Assure all the post production processing (grinding, cold coining, weighing, etc.) is done properly and efficiently.
- Coordinate
the movement of material and parts to and from subcontractors (heat
treating, passivation, non-destructive testing....etc.).
- Enforce
company rules as they pertain to discretionary authority given to
supervisor to discipline, promote, and terminate an employee.
- Train and teach Post Forge department employees how to operate equipment safely and also how to do their job safely.
- Administratively substitute for QC, Shipping , Die Shop, Die Prep and Steel Yard Supervisors at night.
- Familiar with TOPs related to team position.
Rookie requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years experience as a leadman in this or other departments
- Good familiarity and knowledge of shipping department needs and procedures; ability to operate crane, forklift, mule, etc.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Texas Drivers License.
- Computer and scale knowledge
Physical activity
involved:
- A lot of walking, standing
- Some
climbing and frequent lifting of parts weighing up to 50 pounds; any
lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
