TFTP-RTSU: Die Prep Tooling Setup Man

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Keep abreast of production/hammer schedules and retrieve tooling from storage racks in anticipation of jobs coming up.
- Prepare
tooling and have it ready by the press in coordination with completion
of old job; to be ready to disassemble old tooling from press and
prepare it for storage.
- Make any adjustments necessary so that trimmer is ready when hammer starts producing.
- Work
closely with hammer crew so that die and tooling changes are done
quickly in a coordinated manner so that production can be resumed
promptly.
- Ensure that tooling has been inspected for any defects that might cause a bad trim.
Rookie requirements:
- A minimum of six months’ experience in die prep department.
- Complete rookie requirements for Die Prep dept.
Physical activity
involved:
- Be able to lift parts weighing from a few ounces
to 50 pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for
help.
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Lots of walking.
- Some pulling and pushing.
