TFTP-PFHP: Post Forge Helper

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Carry out a number of tasks involved in the preparation of parts for final shipment.
- Inspect parts visually for defects such as cold shuts, burrs, code numbers, letters, etc.
- Separate defective parts for rework, grinding as needed, and general housekeeping as needed in shipping area.
- Check for defective parts and make sure that bad parts are not shipped out.
- Do
a good job grinding, de-burring, or whatever re-work is needed to
ensure that part is salvaged and that it still meets customer’s
requirements.
- Operate forklift or hand power lift as needed.
- Become familiar with TOPs Manual, especially those procedures that relate to this team position.
Rookie requirements:
- Complete training in modules GRND, PRNT, COLD, PRTC, and PFNH also forklift and crane training within 120 days.
- Propane tank exchange training.
- Ability to read basic blueprints
- Complete training on Defect Recognition
Physical activity
involved:
- Extensive periods of standing; moderate walking
- A
lot of stooping and lifting, pushing, pulling of forgings of up to 50
pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help
and some bending from the waist down.
