Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Supervise production personnel in terms of
assigning jobs according to the Shop Schedule and follow through
in seeing that programming, tool crib and machining clerk are working
closely together to minimize production interruptions.
- Maintain
the highest production rates possible for each job and continue to look
for and implement new methods to increase production rates.
- Train
and develop employees in methods and procedures of how to maximize
efficiency and productivity while minimizing scrap, machine downtime,
insert or tooling failures, etc.
- Assist Machining
Superintendent in estimating cost of potential new work.
- Fulfill
TOPS champion responsibilities for the Machining Department, assuring
that the division is in full ISO compliance at all times.
- See that work gets done in a safe and timely fashion without jeopardizing the quality of each part.
Rookie requirements:
- High School diploma and a minimum of five years experience as a production Leadman, CNC machinist or similar experience.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Must complete all rookie requirements for Machining Operator including mocules
- An ability to communicate with and teach employees.
- Complete training module FSAT.
Physical activity
involved:
- Moderate walking.
- Periodic
physical exertion as required to set up CNC equipment or to demonstrate
though example optimum methods of production.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
