Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Carry out machining duties as assigned by Machining Department Supervisor, or Machining
Superintendent.
- Ability to operate drill press, and tumbler.
- Learn all about the equipment assigned to operate and the other equipment in the shop.
- Operate in a safe manner and report any hazardous situations to any coach.
- Strive to better themselves and the company.
- Review and become familiar with the company's TOPs Manual, all TOPs related to this team position.
Rookie requirements:
- High school graduate or GED or minimum of two years’ experience on the same or similar equipment.
- Completion of DEBU, GRIN, FSAT, CNCT, PRNT, MTEL, and MANH training modules within 120 days.
- Pre-employment test for machinist.
- A
minimum tool list is required. The employee would be responsible for
purchasing (payroll deduction available) within 90 days after
completion of probation.
- A tool box as appropriate with lock
- 3/64" to 3/8" Allen wrench set
- 1.5mm to 10mm Allen wrench set
- 10" adjustable wrench
- 1/4" die grinder
- Edge finder
- 6" scale
- 6" calipers (8" preferred)
- 1" dial indicator
- Magnetic base for dial indicator
Physical activity
involved:
- Some walking, extensive standing, bending,
lifting of up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling. Any lifting over 50
pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
