Definition: 

Drawing information developed on, and maintained in, the computer aided design (CAD) system. Also called "Blueprints". Some customer-provided prints and legacy prints were developed manually and scanned images are maintained. Prints are stored on the internal network and can be viewed and/or printed to paper when needed.

There are various types of prints used, based on the same underlying data:

• Customer Prints (not developed by Trinity Forge, but similarly maintained recognizing the customer's right to demand they be expunged)
• Die Layouts (depicting the face of a forging die)
• Die Drawings or Prints (depicting the full forging die and related tooling)
  
• Forging Prints (depicting the forging with heat-related shrink included)
• Machining Prints (depicting the various features to be machined)
• QC Prints (includes tolerances and key dimensions to inspect)
• Drawing (hand-drawn prints maintained as scanned versions of the original)

Retention: Server Backup

Special requirements (if any): The control information of a printed copy used for manufacturing must include a specific job order number and near-term expiration date.
