Definition: Computer generated packet containing specific job information for a particular machining job. Packet contains MPS Cover Sheet, Operations Orders, Inspection Orders, Inspection Records and Operation Pick Lists. After creation the MPS is temporarily stored in the Machining Job File. Once the order is released for production the MPS "travels" with the machining job throughout all processes.
Format: MS Excel, with printed copy ultimately scanned into Job Order records
Retention: Server Backup.
