TFTP-WSUP: Shipping Supervisor

Team member's role and responsibilities: 

• Supervise shipping department personnel and ensure team members are carrying out assigned duties as per company's TOPs procedures. 
• Provide leadership in terms of training, safety, and quality issues. 
• Ensure Shipping Department is working closely with Sales and Accounts Receivable departments so all shipments are properly documented. 
• Work closely with commercial carriers to ensure parts are shipped in a timely and cost effective manner. 
• Strive to implement warehousing techniques that will maximize use of space and facilities. 
• Become familiar with TOPs Manual, especially those procedures relating to the Shipping Department.

Rookie requirements: 

• High school graduate or equivalent. 
• A minimum of one year experience in warehouse/shipping or equivalent experience. 
• Complete training on forklift and crane within 90 days. 
• Complete training modules FSAT, TDNH within 120 days employment.

Physical activity involved: 

• Extensive walking. 
• Some prolonged periods of sitting in front of a personal computer. 
• Be able to lift parts weighing from a few ounces to 50 pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
