Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- To implement quality control plans and inspection techniques assigned by QA Manager
- Train
personnel under his/her responsibility on aspects of Quality Control,
such as use of measuring tools and theoretical understanding of
SPC
- Assign QC Inspectors to the various hammers and to substitute for any one inspector as needed
- See
that all defects or deviation from specifications are reported promptly
to shop foreman and hammerman to minimize the production of bad
parts
- Provide assistance or information to Production, Engineering, Machining, Post Forge, and customers
- Perform computer data entry
Rookie requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to relate well with all team members and departments
- Knowledge of Level III Inspector
- At
least three years of experience in Quality Control and/or five years of
forging background, including familiarity with SPC concepts,
instrumentation and communication.
Physical activity
involved:
- Moderate walking and climbing stairs
- Extensive periods of standing and working with a personal computer
- Exposure to heat and cold
