TFTP-POSP: Post Forge Specialist

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Become proficient in the operation of coin-presses, shot blasters and computers.
- Be able to detect defects in steel forgings such as cold shuts, burrs, code numbers, letters, etc.
- Be
able to step up to any of the tasks entrusted to Post Forge Department
including grinding, de-burring, painting, and stamping.
- Strive to ship only those parts that meet the customer’s specifications.
- Become familiar with TOPs Manual, especially the procedures that relate to this team position.
Rookie requirements:
- Meet all rookie requirements for Post Forge Helper.
- At
least 3-5 years of prior experience as a Post Forge Helper or
Production shop experience that can enable him to identify a bad
forging. QC experience would also be acceptable.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to work without supervision.
Physical activity
involved:
- Extensive periods of standing; moderate walking
- A
lot of stooping and lifting forgings of up to 50 pounds; any lifting
over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help and some bending from
the waist down.
