Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Stay current in inventory of parts and equipment
as needed by the various departments, especially maintenance and
production.
- Keep a current supply of safety protection equipment and first aid supplies.
- Try to obtain best prices and terms from suppliers.
- Order parts and equipment and keep current status on warehouse's inventory.
- Obtain quotes and research what companies offer the best terms.
- Make purchases as requested by other departments.
- Coordinate the preventive maintenance work order system using AMMS software.
Rookie requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Some
familiarity with inventory control, personal computers, purchasing
procedures, and forge shop equipment and maintenance management
software.
Physical activity
involved:
- Walking, reaching and stair climbing
- Sitting in front of a PC
