TFTP-HTWK: Heat Treat Worker

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Control and monitor the heat treat furnace to properly heat forgings.
- Load heat treat furnace using proper equipment.
- Record furnace time and temperature on Heat Treat Log.
- Read instructions from Production Floor Traveler.
- Perform hardness test to verify heat treatment, enter data in SPC.
- Be sure heat codes are carefully tracked and tagged.
- Escalate unresolved problems to the Post Forge Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager as quickly as possible.
Rookie requirements:
- Completion of training modules: TEMP , PRNT , HARD and TRAC.
- Completion of forklift training.
Physical activity
involved:
- Repetitive reaching, twisting and bending.
- Hot and noisy environment.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
