Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Follow instructions
concerning what new stock blocks must be machined to prepare for die
sinkers.
- Help keep a clean working
area around his work station.
- Retrieve
steel block from storage racks and place them in the proper machine in
order to proceed with shanking, cutting, and boring
requirements.
- Adjust machines properly
and monitor their operation.
- Learn how to use various
pieces of equipment in the die shop, including crane and forklift.
Rookie requirements:
Physical activity
involved:
- Standing; some walking,
stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Some lifting of steel
pieces weighing up to 50 pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane
or hoist or ask for help.
