TFTP-BDSS: Die Sinking/Tooling Supervisor (Machining Supervisor)

Team member's role
and responsibilities:
- Supervise all die sinking personnel in terms of
assigning jobs according to the schedule and follow through in seeing
that engineering, die shop and sales (when necessary) are working
closely together to minimize machine interruptions.
- Focus
on maximizing die machine utilization and continue to look for and
implement new methods to increase production rates.
- Train
and develop employees in methods and procedures how to maximize
efficiency and productivity while minimizing setup time, machine
downtime, insert or tooling failures, etc.
- Coordinate and overview all estimating activities as they pertain to die sinking opportunities.
- Coordinate all programming activities as they relate to both die sinking and production machining needs.
- Direct activities of all programming personnel.
- See that work gets done in a safe and timely fashion without jeopardizing the quality of each part.
Rookie requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of five years experience as a CNC machinist.
- Proficient in the use of PRO-E as it relates to manufacturing.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- An ability to communicate with and teach employees.

Physical activity
involved:
- Moderate walking.
- Periodic
physical exertion as required to set up CNC equipment or to demonstrate
through example optimum methods of production.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds; any lifting over 50 pounds use crane or hoist or ask for help.
