Oil and Gas

Founded in 1955 in Texas, one of the world’s main hubs for the oil and gas industry, Trinity Forge and Machine has focused on this industry since day one. We are therefore intimately familiar with the unique needs of oil and gas customers and the range of parts that are most commonly forged for this industry. Most of the major oil and gas OEMs are longstanding customers of Trinity Forge and Machine, as well as many start-ups and medium sized companies. Our forgings can be found at oil fields worldwide and are used in a wide-range of applications.

With the ability to forge, machine and assemble built-to-print components from carbon and microalloy steels, stainless steel, aluminum as well as exotic alloys such as nickel-based alloys and titanium, we possess the capabilities and technical know-how to offer built-to-print, custom components common to the oil and gas industry, including:

  • Bolts
  • Clevises
  • Couplings
  • Discs
  • Drill bits
  • Fittings
  • Flanges
  • Gear bodies
  • Housings
  • Pump bodies
  • Shafts
  • Sight window bodies
  • Stems
  • Valve bodies

In compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D our staff ensures all requirements on a PO are met, on time and to the required specifications.

We have the ability to forge to near-net or net geometries, so that machining cost can be reduced or avoided. This is in respond to the oil and gas industry’s recent push to achieve both cost savings and better quality parts simultaneously. Trinity Forge and Machine has retrofitted its range of hydraulic forging hammers with computer-controlled programmable controls. These controls automate the forging process, allowing for net or near-net forgings manufactured with extremely consistent mechanical properties while also greatly reducing production cycle times. With this industry-leading technology, Trinity Forge and Machine offers built-to-print forgings from approx. 3 oz. to 165 lbs. in net weight.

Trinity Forge and Machine also offers precision machining, fabrication and mechanical or welding assembly services. The equipment mix is regularly modified to ensure an ability to offer the turnkey finished metal components customers demand at that moment.

Trinity Forge and Machine’s well-staffed engineering department is involved with all projects from the quotation stage to the actual production process, including design-to-manufacturability and define-to-cost exercises. The engineers are intimately familiar with the most common 3D CAD/CAM modeling systems, as well as DEFORM, the most comprehensive forging simulation software on the market.

Trinity Forge and Machine is proud of its longstanding focus on serving the oil and gas industry and our team is always excited by the prospect of additional customers from this market interested in partnering with. Please contact us for more information.
